Marc Bolan : Tyrannosaurus Rex with John Peel Vytas Serelis and.... David Bowie (Unlisted). 13th January 1969 Queen Elizabeth Hall concert programme

£175.00

This was part of the Lion and the Unicorn In the Oak Forests of Faun series of shows and amongst  the last with Steve Peregrine Took , before switch to T.Rex.

The programme is similar in design and layout  to the one for the Royal Festival Hall show ( next door to the QEH)  in June 1968. That programme featured David Bowie, and I’m pretty sure he also performed at this show but isn’t listed on the programme. Bowie, who was post Lindsay Kemp and pre Space Oddity, on Bolan’s suggestion, performed a ten minute mime protesting China’s invasion of Tibet, which wasn’t well received.  He is however listed on similar programme to this for the Fairfield Halls show on 16th February. The Programme also features 4 pages of Bolan’s lyrics, an IT advert featuring John & Yoko’s bottoms from the Two Virgins LP,  Apple is Your Friend listing for the White Album and various Apcor releases.

Needless to say this is a true piece of ephemera – only being available for one day, at one venue. 16 Pages, stapled. Condition :  see photos, minor handling.

To order: please click the enquiry button or email info@pleasuresofpasttimes.com and state your location and preferred payment method* I will respond within less than 24hours with a bespoke postage and packing quote (at near cost as possible).

*My preferred payment method is via online banking and I send a request based on your location. This is known as ACH in the USA (and is free to use – unlike a wire). This means I can offer P&P at cost. It’s cheaper for you and cheaper for me 🙂

Alternatively, I can send a Paypal request. Please specify whether you wish to use your Debit or Credit card (no account necessary) – or you wish to use your Paypal account. Paypal payments are subject to their fees (added), unless you wish to pay via the Family & Friends option.
