Aslan lenticular poster/ advertising for Lui Magazine (France) circa 1969/1970

Born Alain Gourdon , but known as  Aslan (23 May 1930 – 11 February 2014) is possibly best remembered for his striking Folies Bergere posters of the mid -1970s.

He also contributed a Vargas style pin up painting as the centrefold of Lui magazine ( France’s answer to Playboy).

What we have here  is a 23x29cm lenticular mounted on to board with the Lui Magazine logo at the top. It’s not clear whether this is a presentation prototype or whether it was used in news agent as advertising.

Regardless, rare , possibly one off.  Usually lenticulars work left to right or top to bottom, this kind of dies both…the photos attached attempt to capture the transition
