The Prisoner : 1979 British first edition hardback novels

Following the success of the original series – three novels were published in the US in 1969, 1970 – but not in the UK until a decade later. Two of the three were publishing in hardback by Dobson Books Ltd London.

The first was was written by acclaimed American science fiction Thomas M Disch and sees the protagonist back in the village after the TV series finished. The third novel , was the second published in the UK as A Day in the Life by Hank Stine

Needless to say Patrick McGoohan had  nothing to do with any of the novels but given that there’s so little from the time, these have become collectors items.
