The book launch was held at Pleasures of Past Times in 2014.
Almost too personal but …. I was Corinne’s friend -then art director, having worked with her partner Mark Szaszy on various band videos – 1990-2000s. I worked with Corinne on dozens of shoots including Vogue Italia, Vogue Uk, Vogue USA, Vogue Nippon etc….advertising in Hermes in India, Maxmara in Sicily etc….Truth be told, to Corinne Vogue was a necessary evil. Corinne wanted to escape fashion to be an art photographer- which the “industry” denied her .
This book- addresses that and concentrates on her real interest- real life- her friends.
Edited by those who were there : Susie Babchick, Tara St Hill, Neil Moody and Mark Szaszy. A more honest version of event than Corinne’s 2001 “Dairy” Link : Corinne Day Diary : Sealed copy
The title comes from the 13th Floor Elevators song …a band I introduced her to and published a biography of in 2007. The cover title artwork is by Pablo Ferro : the man who designed the seminal title sequence for Stanley Kubrick’s masterpiece Dr Strangelove.
2014 : still in shrink wrap. Very limited stock. I’ve research what copies are being offered for sale online : currently anything from £280-650 ? ! POA : happy to sell at whatever the realistic “going rate” is- for a new, sealed.
