This poster was produced exclusively for the European premiere held at the Casino Theatre on Old Compton Street in London’s Soho. it’s an unusual size 20″ x 12.5″ ( 51 x 31.5cm : Not matching a Half Double crown, Mini Quad…or a standard window card.
While I’m aware of a lot of sellers declaring various posters as ‘the Holy Grail” of 2001 items – then surely this must be up there with them ? Please correct me if I’m wrong but as far as I’m aware, the only one in circulation came from this small batch sold in auction (by us)?
Provenance : Obtained by my father from the cinema right after the premiere.
Condition : Near Mint -As new : very, very minor storage wear bottom right corner. Barely worth mentioning but …
