The first King Ink was published in the UK in 1988 by Black Spring Press Ltd, London, UK. It was a small pocket sized, hardback containing Cave’s lyrics.
A Spanish paperback version appeared in 199o printed by Espiral/ Fundamentos followed by a German Language edition 1991 by Verlag Peter Selinka. In 1993 a US edition appeared on the 2.13.61 imprint.
In 1997 Black Spring press followed up with a 2nd volume King Ink 11.
