Small, pocket sized (14.5cm x 10cm) 36 page pamphlet for New Cinema Club’s Forbidden Film Festival : screens at ICA, NFT, Hanover Grand, Paris Pullman and the NFT.
These include Warhol’s Chelsea Girls and Anger’s Scorpio Rising plus Forbidden Film Festival Trans Europe Express (Alain Robbe-Grillet ; Last Year at Marienbad) , The Trip ( Peter Fonda), Godard etc
John & Yoko’s 10th September ICA event was a significant for being their only (?) UK screening of their experimental films to date. At the last minute they decided not to attend, probably due to Lennon quitting The Beatles a couple of days later…. A free pack pack was given out to attendees including this pamphlet + a noise maker ( a biscuit tin with an autographed a wooden spoon), ‘Find me a 3 Savile Row’ photo, Danger Box/Built Around It ( ready-made perspex coin holder ) from the Arts Lab and other goodies…
