Jimmy Page By Jimmy Page : 2010 photographic autobiography, hardcover, new

Jimmy Page by Jimmy Page a photographic autobiography. Originally published as a signed & numbered limited edition of 2,500 in 2010, the title quickly sold out and was followed by this “The Open Edition”

From Jimmy Page’s website “I’ve been asked on a number of occasions to do a written book and I thought of the other side of the coin. I thought it would be unique to have an autobiography in photographs.”

650 photographs / 512-page tome documents Page’s career from 13-year-old choirboy to Sixties session musician, joining the legendary Yardbirds and forming Led Zeppelin.

Although Page embarked on a book “signing” tour, he didn’t actually sign any copies of this edition and instead hand-stamped them, causing much confusion with fans. This copy is one from his website, that comes with a separate sheet stamped with his logo / in lieu of a signature. I did ask Jimmy to sign copies of the book on one of his visits to my London shop, but he politely declined on the basis that he didn’t want any signed copies of this edition in circulation.
Condition is New.
