Charles Bukowski, Steven Richmond: Poetry - 1968 private press LP

£950.00

Following the notoriety of their  1966 Fuck Hate : Meat Poetry – Steve Richmond, Bukowski

collaborated on this 1968 private press of 100 LPS. According to Krumhansl’s Bukowski bibliography,  only 4 copies survive, other sources calim as many as 10.  I’ve handled 2,  one was utterly trashed but this is clean copy in the original (opened) shrinkwrap

Condition : The sleeve only has superficial storage wear – corner bumps and some rubbing under the shrink.

LP: Looks EX+ with one spindle mark around the drill hole on each side. There’s only a couple of superficial marks that show that it has been played. However, the audio plays with light crackle almost throughout because it’s a cheap and poorly mastered record with pitted polymer with drag marks from the low pressing quantity.  In other words, it’s not possible to find a better copy.

A near impossible Bukowski rarity and his first recorded work. There’s a “VG” copy without a cover, for sale elsewhere online for $600….this might be the only decent copy in existence?

To order: please click the inquiry button or email info@pleasuresofpasttimes.com and state your location and  I will endeavour to respond -usually within less than 24 hours – with a bespoke postage and packing quote and payment links for Bank Transfer (cost) and credit/ debit cards processed by Paypal (+ with their fees included).
