Bruce Lacey the Legend…. (31st March 1927–18 February 2016)… Artist, Musician, film maker….true British eccentric.

Known for his props and  automata featured in the Goons TV series, also as friend of  film maker Richard Lester , he appears in the influential  Running Jumping, Standing Still Film….which influenced the Beatles film work directed by Lester ( Lacey plays the flute player in George Harrison’s section of the Beatles ‘pad’ in Help!) .  Not forget his anarchic theatre show in 1963 with the Alberts  : An Evening of British Rubbish .He also entered his humanoids  in Andrew Logan;s alternative Miss World…and won!The world got a little more boring when he passed in 2016. His film work was compiled by the BFI and is well worth investigating

This is a 29cm x 25cm, 4 sided card for his 1963 solo show at Gallery One in London. Near Mint.
