The best way describe Zeta is an episode of The Avengers confused with Gerry Anderson’ UFO – on acid – but with semi-nudity (no full nudity)…..Quintessential psychedelic 1960s spy /sci-fi magazines full of what would be now considered inappropriate representations of just about everything but all executed with a twist of humour … Elaborate studio sets, costumes with interesting photographic effects. There was even a movie Zeta One made in 1969.
Scarce complete run of 12 issues spanning October 1967 to October 1968. Individually can fetch £15- 80 depending on the issue.
Condition : Overall VG+ : All checked – no clippings, no missing pages, no significant creases. #1 as with every copy I’ve had – has tears at the staples – reinforced with acid free tissue. Some retouching around staples- most of which wiped off. Six issues have price in biro and two have minor tape removal on the cover (where it was taped closed in thew shop) otherwise no serious flaws.
