Published by the Auerhahn Press San Francisco this book has the distinction of being Burrough first book published in the USA under his own name – preceded by Junkie in 1953 as William Lee in the US, Naked Lunch in 1959 and Minutes to Go in 1960- both  in France. Estimated print run of 1000 copies, reprinted  in 1967 with a different cover.

Burroughs first cut up work – inspired by his long term associate  Brion Gysin, who also contributes with 4 calligraphy works.

Condition : comes with an original publisher’s card.  VG++ Minor ageing on covers but no significant flaws or creases – see photos.  Just could be a little brighter. two fly/ titles pages with a minor stain otherwise a well preserved example of a scarce early publication –  no previous owner’s markings, no writing, no loose pages, no clippings, no tears, no torn pages.
