The Rolling Stones : Have You Seen Your Mother LIVE! 1966 British Stereo Export

£200.00£350.00

Despite this LP  not being issued in Britain, copies were pressed for export to Europe and Scandinavia.  Despite the back cover stating that this is a live recording from The Albert Hall ( where the Stones played in 1966n with Ike & Tina Turner & The Yardbirds) –  the recording are from  City Hall, Newcastle (1st October  1966) and Colston Hall, Bristol (7th October 1966). 2 Studio recordings  “I’ve Been Loving You Too Long” and “Fortune Teller”, from 1965 and 1963 respectively were  overdubbed applause and added. The audio overall captures the excitement but it’s a distorted and rough. Nevertheless the LP is an essential part of the band’s sixties catalogue. If nothing else for providing a template for garage rock in the U.S – where the Lp  had it’s main release.
