Description
All from Apple Records Inc 3117 San Fernando Rod, Los Angeles- sold individually. Virtually all of the ones I’ve seen for sale date from late 1969-1973- so assumed these are from the same period. Clearly these have survived by being reused in the back of a record store (instead of the contents sold and then being thrown away) – hence why some have stickers saying things like “Beatles On Apple Sleeves” or “Beatles” written on the front when the original content might have been different.
They vary in condition with all the usual flaws : tape reside, missing flaps, creasing and writing. Most front and back are clean (unless noted in the individual descriptions & photos). Most have creased sides.
• They’ve all been flattened and old bit of tape removed. Only “necessary repairs” have been made. E.G folds reinforced with brown gummed paper to prevent flaps falling off or tears progressing – again these have been noted where possible.
• They are priced according to condition- listed in the categories A-E condition. Use the “Choose An Option” box below to select and a photo is of the actual box with a detailed description will appear at the top.
Boxes are pictured fully constructed but will be mailed flat packed. While they’re good for display, with more tape ‘reinforcement’ they could be used for storing records.
The only other box for sale online (at the time of posting) was for Band on the Run single = approx £140.00
