Description
The film had its US premiere in October and in the UK in December 1960. This poster is dated 1961 -post the 33rd Oscars held on 17th April – ‘Winner of 4 Academy Awards’ at the top. While the film won 4 Oscars” : Best Supporting Actor for Ustinov, Best Cinematography, Best Art Direction and Best Costume Design, neither Kubrick or Douglas received one. I’m not aware of an insert poster existing prior to the Oscars.
The Poster measures 91cm x 31.5cm 36″ x 14″ .
Condition : VG+ : Presents well with aged related wear and no significant damage – no pin holes, no tears, no creasing beyond 2 horizontal folds – as issued. While displayed in the shop I had a professional card mount cut – so it’s ready to frame or can be rolled and mailed.
