Lenny Bruce’s self-published first book. Soft cover. Privately Printed, San Francisco, CA, 1962. 52 pages. Illustrated with many black & white photographs of Bruce.
These were sold at his shows and most of the original print run was consigned to Lawrence Ferlinghetti’s City Lights bookstore in San Francisco. Following Bruce’s obscenity arrests in San Francisco and Los Angeles, he reprinted the booklet with the profanities struck out “xxxx” and Ferlinghetti was instructed to destroy the remaining original copies making them extremely rare collector’s items.
