Led Zeppelin - 1969 1st LP UK promo poster (not retail version)

£750.00

Obviously this poster is concurrent with the 2nd pressing of the LP (both 1969) – when the lettering was switched from turquoise to orange. As Jimmy Page explained at the shop- the printers, accidentally used turquoise for the band’s name  on the front  cover – instead of the orange he’s picked on the colour wheel (they are complimentary – opposite- colours).

This is an original shop display poster – not a retail version. The later retail versions are larger- and  have the band name across the top and text credits in fine print along the bottom. Scarce I’ve only seen one other offered for sale $1000

Provence : from the original owner who confirmed “yes, I’ve had it since 1969” – around the same time he acquired the first album. His girlfriend worked at the record dept in local WHSmith’s and would supply him with promo material for Led Zepp, Hendrix, Black Sabbath.

Condition : 28 x 191/4 inches   = approx 71.5cm x 48.5cm .  VG++ : Obviously 50+years old -paper size, stock and patina. Condition : top right = tear around pin hole which has been reinforced with acid free tissue on reverse. A few minor stains. Other flaws can be seen on reverse – Blu-tac residue etc but nothing that detracts too much from the iconic image.

To order:  please click the enquiry button or email info@pleasuresofpasttimes.com and state your location and preferred payment method* I will respond within less than 24hours with a bespoke postage and packing quote (at near cost as possible).

*My preferred payment method is via Online banking and I send a request based on your location. This is known ACH in the USA (and is free to use- unlike a wire). This means I can offer P&P at cost. It’s cheaper for you and cheaper for me 🙂

Alternatively, I can send a Paypal request. Please specify whether you wish to use your Debit or Credit card (no account necessary) – or you wish to use your Paypal account. Paypal payments are subject to their fees (added), unless you wish to pay via the Family & Friends option.
