Informative and influential book that helped re-kick start interest in many German bands that had become “unfashionable’ by the mid 1990’s and a slew of reissues followed.
There were 3-5 printings (13,000 copies) of the original edition before the printers ditched the plates. Julian decided ‘it was what it was’ and refused all offers to republish with added CDs etc…. Instead he published foreign languages editions, most of which, like this have become collector’s items.

Condition : As new : still sealed. I’m 99.99% certain this is a 1st printing since Julian handed it to me in the stock room when it first came out…..after I’d heard the book down the phone ! “Am I boring you?” – No ! It’s just I can’t spell some of these album titles, let alone pronounce them …..The conversations surrounding this book lead to me writing a 13th Floor Elevators biography, which Julian was more than instrumental in instigating …and subsequently wrote the foreword.
