The true first edition of this cult classic. French Language Edition of underground film maker’s notorious expose of Tinseltown’s dark side. An English language edition wasn’t published until 1965. It was allegedly banned within 10 days and not republished for another 10 years, when Straight Arrow, Rolling Stone’s publishers, finally made censored version widely available.
To be honest, the three different editions are the pretty much three entirely different books. There’s not much point in comparison, they’re 3 different formats, : 18cm square paperback in DJ, trade paperback and a standard hardback. The written content, layout and photos used are completely different, obviously the more salacious material that had to be cut between the English language editions is of greatest interest !
