The UK edition published in June 1978 by Quartet is one of the earliest Punk books….
Published as ‘Sociology’ title it’s hard to determine how serious that’s intended. The book contrasts reportage London street & club photos of various punks with photos of tribal people from an image library. while there’s the obligatory Soo Cat Woman photo, the researchers dug deeper to include some not so often used images.While on the one hand laughable, it strangely works…..but that’s the point.
