Description
To my knowledge there are three ‘original’ variations of this 1967 Hapshash poster printed by Osiris Visions Ltd OA104. Which came first is matter of opinion….One version has the printing info & address displayed as ‘handwritten” opposed to a typeset font. The other two variants, have the info typeset but in different fonts and positioned differently. The main poster offered for sale here is the version with the printing info positioned in the bottom left hand corner. It was acquired in the early 1980s from the original owner – long before any dubious “reprints” appeared -so don’t even ask “is it original” 🙂 It has been signed in pencil by the original artist , Nigel Waymouth. A 2nd poster is for sale but it was unfortunately dry mounted onto board when it was framed. This has the printing info positioned to the right of the poster -see photo. This poster was purchased from the original owner who bought it at the Indica Bookshop during the summer of 1967.
Condition : The poster is undisplayed, with no fading, no significant rips or creases. Minor handling -“thumb creases”. On small edge tear top right – see detail.
