Granny Takes a Trip original T-shirt

SOLD

An original “used” T-shirt. I’m not sure of the date this was produced, although there’s  ‘© 1966’ – I’m sure it was later than the original incarnation run by Nigel Waymouth, Shelia Cohen John Pearse that opened in February 1966.  The business transferred to Freddie Hornik of Dandie Fashions who ran it from 1969-1974 and  tailored suits for various  Rolling Stones and Rod & The Faces.. The “brand” was then acquired by Byron Hector and outlets  opened in  LA  where  Sex Pistols T-shirts were exported from Punk London  -until  it folded  in 1979.

Regardless of when it was made- an Iconic piece of London fashion history that doesn’t come up for sale too often.

Condition VG++ :  This has been worn but it is clean,  there are no areas of discolouration or staining  around the neck etc.  Size L  :  Front Neck to Hem = 58cm approx/23inches. Across chest 44cm/ 171/4 inches,  Armpit to Armpit : 52cm /201/2 inches. If you are considering buying this to wear I suggest you compare these measurements with a T-shirt that fits you?
