Isolar I was Bowie’s 1976 Station to Station LP world Tour, also dubbed the Thin White Duke tour.
It began in Vancouver, Canada on 2 February 1976 at toured throughout North America and Europe, concluding on 18 May 1976 in Paris, France.
There are two versions of the tour programme. 1st from the American leg of the tour, which measures 29cm x19cm approx and was issued in an envelope. The European version was much larger 38cm x 29cm – issued without an envelope. Both came in two fold sections, consisting of three printed sheets that folded down. this has cause much confusion -with pages often missing or incorrectly folded.
Although the contents are essentially the same, it appears in a slightly different order. Both are printed on cheap newsprint that hasn’t aged well- especially the European copies, at the the US edition had an envelope (often discarded and now missing) to protect the contents. According to Bowie fans came into the shop, stocks of the US edition were also sold in the UK until they ran out.
