Book 1 • 1st Olympia Press (Paris Edition) hardback 1958 – preceded by their 1955 paperback edition as part of the the Traveller’s Companion Series due to an obscenity ban in the United States and Ireland. In retaliation to publication in the UK by Neville Spearman in 1956- the Olympia Press imported copies to the UK- hence the replacement flaps.
Condition : Book EX : Clean bright copy with the addition of a contemporary Shakespeare and Company Bookshop stamps (Paris) on blank fly. No previous owner’s markings. DJ : Ex with -as noted -2nd state DJ flaps for import.
Book 2 • 1961 Uk 1st edition hardback adaption for the stage. Book : is EX – DJ – unclipped but with light sunning on spine – see photos.
