Description
“Mord und Totschlag”, a 1967 West Germany film directed by Volker Schlöndorff ( better known for his 1979 film Die Blechtrommel : Tin Drum).
The film has a cult reputation not only because it starred Anita Pallenberg but because it features Brian Jones only released solo compositions as incidental music- featuring Jimmy Page on guitar. Although Jones recorded the soundtrack on September 1966 by the time the film premireed at the 1967 Cannes Film Festival (27 April to 12 May), which was famously won by Antonioni’s Blow Up! (which Page also featured in).
The Brian Jones’ soundtrack has never been officially released. And the film wasn’t Not released in the USA until 1969 – after Jones’ death.
