A hand written 1pp. letter from underground filmmaker and Hollywood Babylon author Kenneth Anger to his friend Robert Hertl, concerning a working road trip to Southern California.

“I have to go to places like San Fernando valley, Santa Monica, Pasadena, etc. Should be interesting as I have to interview people like Valentino’s cameraman, etc. If you don’t drive maybe you know some trustworthy guy who’d like a short-term job as my driver. (needless to say I don’t drive!)”

Dated January 8, ’82, the letter is typed on Anger’s Lucifer Rising headed notepaper, with the image of a flying saucer hovering over the head of an ancient Egyptian statue. Boldly signed, Ken in red marker pen.

Complete with envelope, addressed to Hertl in Anger’s hand.

Condition of letter is Excellent to Near Mint.
